HOUSE WARMING GIFT WRAP

Oh Hello!

It's been a minute since I did a simple gift wrap craft and this one is particularly E-A-S-Y.

Serra is super fab and bought [and reno'd] an awesome new house. For her housewarming party I wrapped up a gorgeous cook book I bought at GOOP and slapped some paint samples on it.

Congrats on the new digs, Serra and Dash!

YOU DA BALM VALENTINES

My valentines this year were inspired by Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit. Or that my lips are always chapped and I can't be trusted to wear lipstick.

I made homemade, organic, free of anything bad, super healthy lip balm and gave my life classroom of friends and fam "You da Bomb" valentines!

Homemade lip balms made into little homemade bombs of love.
2 tablespoons of each: Raw Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Beewax.
Double Broil on the stove top to melt!
I did 4 rounds to make 30 pots.
Found these amber glass jars on amazon.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!

COZY SKI CHRISTMAS WRAP

I always dream of a cozy, snowy, white Christmas... but I live in sunny SoCal. :(

So this year I made faux snow for my holiday party and bundled up my gift wrap for some downhill and apres ski.

I tried both hair conditioner + baking soda and shaving cream + baking soda. I preferred the result of the hair conditioner version but my 6 year old assistant preferred the fun of the shaving cream version.

Faux Snow! Recipe here.
The "knit hats" were in fact... not knit! And very easy.
Cut up a toilet paper roll in [approx] 1/2" sections.

Loop a piece of 8" yarn in half and pull the free end around and through the TP roll.
                                                             Continue all the way around.

Gather [tightly] the yarn tails and tie together.

Cut the yarn tails short for the pom pom at the top!

I printed names on pretty card stock and cut them into skis for the tags.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS and Hell YAH to 2018!

T minus 2 weeks until I hit the slopes!
